OMELCHENKO Taras Mykolayovych - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Bogomolets National Medical University

Omelchenko TM, born on March 2, 1978, graduated with honors from the National Medical University named after OO Bogomolets in 2002, in 2004 received the level of specialist and master in "traumatology and orthopedics".

In 2007 he graduated from the NMU named after OO Bogomolets and defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. Dissertation topic: "Prevention and treatment of post-traumatic osteoarthritis of the ankle joint".

In 2014 he was awarded the academic title of "Associate Professor".

In 2019 he completed his doctoral studies at NMU named after OO Bogomolets and in 2020 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. The topic of the dissertation is "Surgical treatment of patients with the consequences of injuries of the ankle joint (experimental-clinical study)".

Omelchenko TM is the executive secretary of the professional scientific-practical journal "Chronicle of Traumatology and Orthopedics", published by the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of NMU named after OO Bogomolets, is responsible for scientific work, work of the information website and computer class of the department.

He has the highest qualification category in the specialty "traumatology and orthopedics", is engaged in surgical and conservative treatment of patients with diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, as well as their consequences. Regularly increases theoretical knowledge and surgical experience at professional scientific and practical conferences, seminars, practical instructional courses and internships in Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Lithuania, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain).
