Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics NMU named after OO Bogomolets headed by Doctor of Medicine, Professor Buryanov OA annually organizes and conducts scientific and practical sessions, congresses and conferences of city, regional, national importance, as well as scientific and practical conferences with international participation.
Since 2004, 8 scientific and practical conferences and sessions have been held, including 3 with international participation.
The holding of such events promotes the exchange of experience between specialists in the field of traumatology and orthopedics, as well as the deepening of knowledge in related fields of medicine, the expansion of interregional ties, and the strengthening of international cooperation.
Since 2006, the department has launched an annual scientific-practical conference: "Implementation of scientific developments in health care practice", which for 5 years in a row brings together leading specialists and practitioners in traumatology, orthopedics, rheumatology, surgery from different regions of Ukraine.
An international scientific-practical conference "Problems of Biomechanics and Medical Materials Science" took place on November 21-22. The conference was organized by the National Medical University named after OO Bogomolets together with the State Institution "Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine", the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, NTUU "KPI" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and other leading scientific and medical institutions. The conference was attended by more than 200 participants, leading experts in the field of traumatology and orthopedics, biomechanics, medical materials science from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Germany and Moldova. During the conference, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Bogomolets National Medical University was celebrated.
